  1. Well, I just don’t believe that there could be another grand daughter out there like me. I could have written this blog. My grandmother willed her shoe collection to me in 1961 when she passed away. I was the one that dusted her collection for her and asked her about each shoe…what friend brought this one for you grandma….what’s this little note inside this shoe Grandma…My collection is around 120 miniature and glass shoes. Occasionally I see one that I have at the local flea market which gives me a chuckle. My dear, dear grandmother came from Covington, Indiana. Her life was very simple. She cleaned, washed and ironed, made two pies every Friday, always had her sisters and brothers come for Sunday dinner, and she especially loved when her friends would take a car trip and bring her back a souvenir shoe. My grandaughter has her eye on my grandmothers shoes and one day they will be hers. Thanks for posting this blog. Are you still working on this project? Judy

    • I am sorting, and have good intentions to start photographing the shoes again. Life got a little hectic for awhile.
