Christmas Ornament Hiking Boot #015

A rugged hiking boot ornament made just for the natural Christmas tree.  While I have the tree up, I am raiding it for shoe ornaments.  I fear there are quite a few.  Mostly they are trinkets and such from my family and friends, but fun nonetheless.  A collection can’t be full of only pre-1900 treasures, now can it?

The little boot is the exact size of the above photo.  It has a hollow opening that goes into the boot about an inch.  It is made from some type of resin which affords it with excellent detail and different textures for the light and dark ‘leathers.’

The bottom has simulated grooves and a mark stating  © MMA.  There is also a paper gold and black label which is difficult to decipher, but reads MADE IN PHILIPPINES.  This is a recent addition, probably within the last 10 years, and a gift to me from my children. (JE, JA, AB)

This boot is part of the “Christmas Shoe Collection” which numbers 18 ornaments in all  — I just counted — and except for 3 or 4, their estimated values are simply sentimental and priceless.
